I was told by an Audi service tech that the original oil is synthetic.. True or False?

Default I don't think so. If it were, then the oil changes would require syn, and they don't.

At least that was the case with my 2000 180C. I opted for Mobil One on the first change though.

Default I know that Audi and VW cars are filled with a special synthetic oil from the factory.
