just regular anti-seize, but put it only on the tips - don't get any on the seating surfaces.

Default Put some between the wheel and the hub. You *could* put it on the threads but then you'd need to...

adjust the torque of the bolts. Never done this myself as I don't own a torque wrench (Shhh!)

Default I didn't know the torque needed to be adjusted...

if there was anti-seize on the threads. How much do you adjust it by? I do like the idea of putting it between the wheel and the hub.

Beats me. Most places say not to do it, but I have heard that you can.

Default Cleveland area and not that cold at all yet...

the tires on the car are worn out. Tread wear indicators are showing and they're noisy. I was going to wait until 11.1 but that's only a few days away and I've got time now.

You run the risk of premature tread wear with temps at 50 or above on snow tires

Default Much discussion on the forum last year about use of anti-seize on

bolts. Final decision for me was to not use anything on them because of possibility of stretching the bolts inside the hub. Had no problems changing wheels back in spring.

Default You've got me thinking now...

maybe I should get those wheels and tires that I wanted in Spring now. I could swap those out for the snow tires whenever I wanted to, seeing though I would have 2 complete sets of tires and wheels. Thanks!!
