Inaugural Post + Q. (mushy & longish)
Folks,
Please welcome an avid but as yet silent reader to the forum. Having just received my 225TTQR, I couldn't possibly contain my excitement and feel compelled to announce it to the world! I suppose NorCal sunny skies, Hwy 1 and a TTR strapped onto oneself will bring forth the inner child in anyone carrying a pulse.
Enough unabashed gushing! Has anyone found the latch on the rear compartment between the seats (above the centre speaker) in the TTR to be too easily popped? I put some CD cases in there, but they have a tendency to pop open the compartment and scatter all over the place during mildly aggressive braking. Please let me know if anyone has experienced this.
Its good to finally be here.<p>cheers,
enchanTTed

When I first got my car, the same thing started to happen, the cover seemed to always open. After a few days I "learned" to stay away from it and it has'nt happened since

Welcome to the club. I spend the last two weekends driving down to
Carmel and back up the cost on Hwy. 1.
I have "opened" the compartment with my elbow a number of time
while using the navigation system. Other than that it's worked fine
for me.

Ditto what Fred said
I too find that when I put my hand in the vicinity the compartment does open rather easily. Maybe a slight mod to the latch would help but I haven't given it much thought.
