Initial impressions from the Borla exhaust......
Well, after the installation fiasco, I've been driving this around for the last couple hours and all I can say is "Wow".....this thing is awesome.
After being so enraptured with the B&B/APR sound, I can say that this is damn near identical sound. It has a great deep growl and burble at idle and a beautiful note upon acceleration. Some say that it is a little on the loud side for their tastes, but I love it!
It looks pretty good too. The tips are about as big around as the B&B. They were pretty caked with black soot when I got them, but I just spent about 30 minutes with some Simple Green and some stainless steel polish, and the gleem now. I just need to see how I can adjust the tips up about a 1/2".....would shorter rubber exhaust hangers do that?

It's not the length, it's the bend...>>>
You need to bend the hangers down, therefore raising the muffler. Unfortunately the system needs to come off usually to do this easily, though there's a chance you could slip a long box end wrench over the end of the hanger and get enough leverage to bend it...

Yup. I had to take my Milltek off to bend the hangers down.
I used a propane torch to get the hangers red hot. Then used two vise grips to bend the hangers down (two b/c I did not want to bust the weld). This results in pulling the whole assembly up into the rear valence.

Borla adjustment . . .
I did this on Saturday. Rear up on ramps; take exhaust off from the center band clamp back. I cut one inch off the front of the center pipe with a hacksaw. Bent the rear hangars down to raise the tips and the muffler up. Also use the center pipe "twist" method while things are loose to adjust the tips in the openings. Took three tries (!) but it was well worth the effort. Here's the result (hot) - after a cool down the tips are almost even with the valance.
