Default Installing rear sway bar.

Having a hard time getting the two nuts off of each side near the wheels

Are the rubber pieces that connect the small arm to the sway bar on each side prone to damage? I'm afraid of tearing the rubber piece with the wrench.

Thanks

Default Rubber pieces..>>

Keep Dirt out of the spherical joints. a 14 or 15mm (sorry it's fuzzy) wrench between the covers and the bar will keep the joint from rotating as you loosen the outside nut.

Default just slip a 17mm in there. Most wrenches will clear that easily and no damage to the rubber

the rubber will recede a bit.

Thanks, the outside nut takes a 16mm, so, I'm assuming the inside will too

Default It might be, but iirc, a 17 fits in there nice and snug. Plus I only have 1 of each, so I usually

use the correct wrench for a main, and something good enough that will hold for counter in case I don't have both wrenches. Try a 5/8" and 11/16" also if you don't have any more metric.

Default Well, 15 won't fit, and 17 is too big. The wife is actually out picking up a 16mm now

or I could tell you definitively... I'll try the US sizes...

Default Okay, so what are my odds of totally screwing up this install?

The 4 bolts that hold the bushing guards are not lining back up, and the two screws on each arm (end) don't seem to be lining up straight either.
