Default Instrument Cluster Failure Update

Replacement of the cluster is taking 5 - 6 weeks for the parts to get in. The fix proposed by some of the Audifourm participants has been deemed not acceptable by AoA, due to safety risks. Audi Mfg. reps. in N. Cal have made this conclusion. All cars must wait the new and improved instrument cluster. The new cluster is not just a replacement, it fixes the problem. Even if the silicon spray solution works (for a bit), is this what you want when you now know the design / Mfg. has been acknowledged by AoA as flawed? Anyone with problems needs to submit these to the surface / dealer as to bring the full levity of the situation to bear. Audi has an 800 number where you can make a complaint and they will assign an official complaint number. Does anyone know the number? Recall is best. Or would you like to replace yours after the warranty is up (>$1,200.00)? Lets all move on this one.
