Default instrument cluster replacement

I have a 2000 TT 180 Quattro.
I'd like to swap out the instrument cluster myself.

When buying the replacement, how do I know which one to buy, and where to buy?

Anybody have step by step instructions?

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

You need one from a model year 2000 since after that they went to an immobilizer.

Instructions are here:

http://www.modulemaster.com/en/help/...tt_removal.php

These guys can rebuild your cluster including replacing the info display.
