insurance rates on TTs
 
How do most people fair with insurance rates? Huge change?<br> I get my TT in two weeks. I just ordered it Saturday but I cannot wait.<br>Chuck

The TT cost about the same as my last car so rates didn't change. JIM

I feel a little nicked, but not necessariliy taken. I live in Nebraska, with multi-car, home owners and $500 deductable its about $900.00

$724 as the third auto, used for pleasure BUT I plan to take it off the road for the Maine winters so the 12 month premium will be reduced considerably when I drop everything but comprehensive while it's in storage. If you plan to store yours too, and finance, make sure that your finance company/bank will allow your to drop collision and liability while it's in storage, some require full coverage whether stored or not. Read the fine print before you sign the loan.

Before I gave up my TT order, the rate I was quoted here in Detroit was $1,100.00 per year (no tix or accidents). Surprisingly, this is the same rate I was given for the car I did end up buying which is a BMW M Roadster. Considering the TT has a full complement of safety equipment and a far less powerful engine than the M Roadster, I was surprised to get the same quote for both!
