Default Insurance rates...you guys gotta be kiddin!

Some of the rates I'm reading on here are just too funny! I'm 42, no tix or accidents, and I'm getting quotes from $800 to $1300 every 6 mos for full coverage w/$500 ded. With all 3 vehicles (incl. a '97 1/2 Buick Regal GS and a '93 Geo Tracker) for me and the wife it's coming to 1300 to 1900 per 6.

What's the secret? Incriminating photos?

WAAAY down in southern Alabama, near the Gulf. Nearly zero auto theft crime rate.

Default Wow, what's your deductible?

I'm 35, married, and paying $564.30 per six months on my TT. I called my insurance agent for fun and would have to be driving a Maserati before I got anywhere near $800/six months; for example, a Boxster S would only be $695/six months...

Default My insurance is $2400 a year for my TT

Boxster S is only $1100 (but only a summer car). I am 21 and live downtown Milwaukee, so I live in a "higher crime area" which is a joke in Milwaukee.

Default Don't know if you can use them there but....

I use National Merit Ins. and the rates are pretty good. About $900 every six months for the and my wife's Honda CR-V. Full coverage, $500 or less deductible. That's with a Homeowner's discount.

Default Hmmm.... something wrong... even though mine went up from last year.....

I'm paying <$600 for 6mo, with the TT as the primary and a fully restored '65 Mustang convertable (both with $250 deductable) on the same policy - Single, 36, no tickets in 3 years, AND in the SF Bay Area... lousy drivers and totally run amuck with itty bitty women driving gargantuan SUV's.... (don't get me started... I go ballistic every time I see them...)
