Default Interesting Note

Here's something very important you must know about your vehicle. The high-performance RS 6 requires special synthetic engine oil, which must conform to Volkswagen Oil Standard 505 01 (5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil). Failure to use engine oil for your engine that expressly conforms to Volkswagen Oil Standard 505 01 (5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil) can cause engine failure on the highway that can cause a crash and serious personal injury. Please note the following:

- Never use any amount of engine oil in the engine that does not conform to Volkswagen Oil Standard 505 01 (5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil).

- Always carry with you an extra quart of engine oil that conforms to Volkswagen Oil Standard 505 01 (5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil) in case you must top off the oil while on the road.
Never use any other kind of engine oil in your vehicle, not even to top off the oil level. We have provided you with a quart of the approved oil in the luggage compartment.

- If you use engine oil that does not expressly conform to Volkswagen Oil Standard 505 01 (5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil), very serious and very expensive damage to your vehicle's engine will occur. Your Limited New Vehicle Warranty will not cover engine damage caused by using the wrong engine oil.

- Not all commercially available oils conform to this very rigid Volkswagen oil quality standard, even though they may have the same viscosity.
Your authorized dealer has the most up-to-date technical information regarding the correct oil specification and viscosity or your engine. Always ask your Service Consultant about the correct oil to use when topping off your engine. Refer to your Owner's Manual for details about oil specifications.

Default $60/quart x 12 quarts = infused economy

About time the fat cats got this economy rolling.

Default With a $650000+ car what's a $700 oil change?

I wonder how much the filter costs?

Default Some people would do it just because they can!.....

Maybe you could sell them some expensive "quality" aged gasoline too! ahhh....let's not talk about gas again!

Default You could get the 505 01 specs and send them to

Redline, Amzoil, and Mobil 1. I'd bet one of them would pass. Hell the Amzoil formula was originally developed to go to moon.
