Default Interesting observation I just made regarding the 3.2 Front spoiler.....

for those who are wanting to do this mod, just to let you know, this may not be the best choice for the turbo'ed motors with the intercoolers that reside there. Instead of the air entering the front grill and flowing through the intercooler(s), there is a newly created exit for which the new spoiler would create.

Keep this in mind! Obviously, if you have an FMIC this wont matter.

Default So why can't you just put some black plastic behind those openings to block them?

That should be simple to do, especially if you've already installed an FMIC.

But interestingly from the cutout pictures it looks like they retain the ducting for stock ICs

Default hm, audi engineers (probably/hopefully) arent stupid...

so if you go under the assumption that those were put there for some functional reason, then perhaps the added outflow pathway decreases cavitation. although it adds a way for air to "escape," if it increases overall flow velocity thru the intercoolers it may increase overall efficiency.

HACK THS im just trying to bring sunshine to your parade =)

Default What if they ever turbo the car - no room for a FMIC since the 3.2 is in there....

wonder if they are planning something different. I guess you "could" fit a small, thick FMIC at the bottom.... oh wait... that sounds a lot like an FMIC someone I know was working on ;-)
