Default Very interesting indeed - reminds me of a situation in UK once

Friends dad was pretty good at cleaning his car and one day a passing dog peed (yep indeed) on one of his wheels. We both saw this happen and he'd only just finished washing it.

He was going back into the house and I suggested he remove it IMMEDIATLEY as it's corrosive (like bird crap) and shouldn't be left on. He was in a hurry to go on an errand and said he'd do it when he got back.

TOO late! by the time he'd got back from his run (aka wheels had heated up nicley) it was now a permanent part of his wheel finish. So he had to get it re-done.

Also had a friend who never used to wash her little Ford Fiesta (similar to Focus) which was white in color. It sat for a good 6mths over winter (yep over winter) with the familar black layer or dirt along the sides. She was then very happy to learn she'd sold her car in the local ads so she took it to the local jet wash to clean it up.

Sure enough as she sprayed away the layer of black dirt a very nice layer of rust and some holes began to appear !
