it's too freaking expensive for what you get.
The 2.0t roadster FWD (no quattro) configured without all the bells and whistles came to 42.5k before tag, title, and tax.
It's a freaking 200hp FWD car!!! I would then have to turn around and
*chip it
*drop it a little via springs or coilovers(Audi insists on having the biggest wheel gap available (outside of the R8).
*better tune the engine (it is one of the best tunable engines out there.
It wouldn't take near as much help to help it along. The MK2 comes out the box so much better than the MK1 but it still caters and is tuned to the cruise crowd instead of the performance crowd.
I would be 50k in before I know it and still it would be a FWD. Yeah, I could go with the 3.2 but all the reviews state that the added weight doesn't add to the "fun" of driving the car. So there's almost a no go for the 3.2 for the added 50 ponies when a proper tuned 2.0t could easily out perform the 3.2 without the added weight.

Even if they did, it would be more $$$ than I would want to pay. I would rather>>
buy an A5 first with functional rear seats. I'm sure the expenses would be a little cheaper.
I'll keep the S for now. The most VAG product I see buying now in the near future has become the GTI.
However, time will even tell regarding that. I'm just a little disappointed for the price / performance dollar. Considering AoA's track record and customer service.
