Put a set on last year for VIR and had a rear pad debond from the backing plate, causing me a great deal of problems with braking stability. So this year at Road Atlanta I ran stock pads on the rear and Porterfields on the front (stock pads on the front turned to charcoal at Watkins Glen). So what happens? One half of the pad debonds and falls out. Application of brake bends backing plate. Remaining pad comes off. Repeated brake application wears through backer. Continued use of brakes wears 3/8" off end of caliper piston. Dust boot and seals fried, valve stem cap melted. Somehow hyper-extended piston does not leak. Molten aluminum from piston keeps brakes as quiet as normal. After brakes cool on way home, I begin to hear horrendous noise. Had to make repairs in Motel parking lot, enlisting the grounds keeper as my bleeding assistant. I will never, ever, buy Porterfields again, my life depends on it.

Good review! Also, a good point. Got a chance to feel the TT's magical disappearing brakes the other
...day when I tried a full 100mph-0 mash. Want to upgrade the whole system now.

I don't know if they even make a pad for the TT but I ran Hawk blues on my SCCA ITS race car and got
plenty of wear, good stopping power, and good rotor longevity. I assume you guys running race pads are properly bedding them in.
