Default Jack in the box "Mariner Jack" antenna ball tested to 122 MPH.. (OT)

JohnLZ7W and myself went out on a little fun road huntin' expedition yesterday, which started with a quick stop at the local Jack in the Box for a couple burgers. Just had to pick up a fresh antenna ball for the trip. We headed out to Chelatchie Prairie to the Northeast of the Portland/Vancouver area towards the hills. I won't bore anyone with the whole drive, but we did encounter one fairly long stretch in the country with no animals, no houses, no driveways, no crossroads, etc..... (hoping to keep the flames down). We were driving my car, and since I'm a "professional driver ", I decided to add a little boost to the situation and have a quick straight line shot. We got upto 122mph before having to slow. The car was pulling nicely and seemed to be dissapointed when I lifed on the gas. The road continued strait, but there was a rise about 1000 yards ahead and I wanted plenty of time to be back to 50 or so just in case there was someone else out in the boonies with us. Nobody was, so we could've gone alot faster, but didn't want to risk anything more than Me, John, and the TT. Luckily he was a willing participant, or at least seemed to be smiling. The only thing I forgot about was ole jack, up there on the roof. Well, we got back from the drive, and Mariner Jack was doing just fine, bubble gum, helmet, eyes, nose, all in tact!!

The remainder of the drive was a bunch of fun twisties, with some very questionable pavement conditions thru the woods, which we drove until we ran out of pavement. In any case, a fun Sunday drive....

Default He looks kinda stylin' up there, don't ya think!! I almost never put one on because>>

I'm afraid that someone will lean on the side of the car trying to get it off. But.... when you're out on a fun adventure like yesterday, it's kinda kewl to have the antenna ball up top getting the roof cam shot! The picture was taken after the drive, so I'm pretty sure that Mariner Jack enjoyed the drive...

Default But I wasn't the one three fairways over out of the tee box.....

I still can't figure out how you birdied that one.

Sunday morning was not a lot of fun. Head poundin' and stomach a-churnin'. But a fat smile on my face. We'll have to do this again.

Default However those bugs just did not make it at 122 :)

That was definately a fun ride, even Jack enjoyed it. I am without a doubt a few steps closer to chip/exhaust now.
