the front seem like they would get bent into the underpan.

Yes, and the fronts do get bent into the underpan easily.

Is it just the pads that get bent or the floor pan?

Default All of mine are bent. I have stopped using my floor jack with the TT>>

those pads are for a lift-- when supported evenly on all 4 they don't bend apparently.

Default well, don't use your stock jack...

Default How'd that happen? Did it fall?

The other problem I have is that my huge-a$$ sears floor jack is too big to fit under my TT. Planning to buy a lo-pro aluminum floor jack eventually.

Default where to get those jack pad inserts for the floor jack, to prevent that?

I saw some online the other day, wanted to come back later and forgot where I saw them...

Default well, the design of the stock jack is pretty unsafe...

the foot that supports the car is pretty small. I was jacking up the rear with it because, like you, I didn't have a floor jack with a low enough saddle to get under the car. I was in my garage which has a pretty slick floor, when I got the tire of the side I was working on far enough off the floor it had taken enough weight off of the other tire to allow the car to slide. The small foot of the narrow stock jack allowed the car to tilt freely and acted as a pivot point. I tried to catch the car but it was over as soon and it started and buckled the stock jack into the rocker. This almost happened another time and the car shifted towards me but I caught it and chalked it up to me not lining the jack up correctly. Now I bought a low saddle floor jack and chock all the opposite wheels that aren't being jacked. This could have been a real disaster if I was on the side of the road.

Default ALWAYS use a jack stand!!

regardless of whether you're using the factory jack or a floor jack. It's not unheard-of for the hydraulics to fail in a floor jack, and if you are under the car when that happens, it wouldn't be pretty.
