First some Audi content. Pic of my TT.

Here is the shift rail

You can see that the cover is off a bit. Notice screwdriver.

Notice Center part. That's where the sift rail goes into the cover of the Tranny.

Default you have to knock the roll pin out of the shift rod end....

......remove the shift selector, then the whole tailhousing slides rearward off the shift rod, then the cover comes right off

The Jeep one is identical....different ratio,s but physically the same unit

This is a pic of my Stangs 408 CI Supercharged engine I'm not sure there is anything that I need you to install, but I'll try to think of something before you come to Florida for a vacation.
