Jeff Bipes....I got the Nokia retrofit cable.....
for the cell phone. I'm putting in the Motorola phone with Verizons'hands free kit. With your pictures, instructions, etc., I think I can modify the Nokia cable. Does the cable intercept the cd player connections? And to get to the cd cables in a roadster I just follow the pdf you put up a while back and dismantle the area behind the seats?
Thanks! for the info.

A phone call will cut/mute *any* signal into the H/U...
Yes, or go in from the trunk.
It's a bit more complex than the coupe.
You will need to remove the liner from the trunk, then remove the small rectangular cubby-hole box way in the back. Up on the top there are 2 plastic buttons. Use a butter knife, or what I used, the back of a diagonal cutters wedged under each side, and pull away from the back. These should pop out with some force.
You can then remove this liner.
You should be able to find the 13-pin cable there.
cut a hole in the spot where shown on the pics.

This is at the top back of the inside cubby behind the seat.
Unless you want to remove the rear curved plastic pieces, that also means removing the center console on the back, you will have top live with a cable going into the back cubby area behind the drivers seat.
