Default Just bought a TT....

Just bought a black 2001 225 TT Coupe with 58k on it, $16,800. Good deal?

Any newbie advise/tips would be greatly appreciated.
Im also looking to do a full maintenance on it before I really start driving and modding it. Anything special I should be doing? Certain things I should be looking for when doing it?

TIA

Default are you really a ****?

seems like an alright deal. although it's a bit futile to ask AFTER you've bought the car, right? hehe.

welcome!

Default 2nd the Timing Belt. Get it done before you hit 60k at the latest

Spend the rest of your time reading the last 50 pages of this forum and search for anything you can think of. The info is all there, most has been discussed, it can just be tricky to find. Then ask the forum if you still have any unanswered questions, someone will have the answer.

Other than that Welcome and TTIWWP!

did a search and found the ECS timing belt kit...

is there an OEM metal water pump equivalent? or is the Hepu made one the only option?

Default ECS is OK..has the metal impeller. Dont use their thermostat (Wahler) It will run hotter than stock

Recently heard that Dieselgeek.com has a better kit for less $. I know firsthand that Dieselgeek has awesome shift kits with customer service to match.

Havent checked out the TB kit personally yet, but I'd trust them to get it right.
