Just got another call from Audi regarding my 3.2 and the port hold...
I was told that Audi of Hungary is currently at the Port of San Diego (as opposed to Audi of Germany or AoA) and that my TT has been "retrofitted". The rep said that they wouldn't tell him what the specific issue was, but I already know that it was related to a bad batch of DSG trannies.
The Supervisor from Hungary has to drive and signoff on my TT as well as the others and while the work is complete, it hasn't been tested yet.
So they are still going to try to get it to me on Friday, but otherwise, it will arrive on Monday or Tuesday, leaving me a couple of days to drive it before I leave the country for 10 days.
I had hoped to have it available for this Sat's SoCal TT Club meeting, but even if my 3.2 isn't available, at least TTigg aka Steve and probably FirsTTin SoCa will be there for anyone who is interested in checking one out.
I've had so many problems with my first two TTs and it just figures that I'd have a major problem with the car before I even take delivery! We'll just have to cross our fingers.

Wow... recalled before you took delivery?
I would nicely tell them to screw off, and give me one that was produced right from the factory. This is eqivalent in my mind to crashing the car before delivery and fixing it.

I don't know...
I think it's only about a 50% chance at best. I do believe that Audi has made a good effort at getting my car to me. I hope they give it a good shot once again this Friday.
