Default Keep getting a P2096 code (post-cat O2 sensor) with my.....

42DD downpipe and high flow cat. I've installed Wayne's 90deg fitting and thought that I wouldn't get a CEL with this setup. I thought that a straight pipe (no cat) might throw a CEL but that I would be safe with a high flow cat.
I've reset the CEL numerous times and it keeps popping up. Any help on how to keep it from happening would be greatly appreciated. Would adding the sparkplug antifoulers to Wayne's elbow do the trick.

Tired of resetting my CEL,

Sounds like serendipity, your post cat O2 sensor is more than likely toast.

I was afraid that you would say that.

Default second that....a minor bang on the tip could ruin it fairly easily.....>>>

and if it was marginal at first (no way of telling except MPG issues or hard errors) you are stuck.

In theory you can prove that it is bad by swapping it with your O2S1 sensor..if you register errors there, then you confirm it. You also run the risk of damaging the good one too...no free lunch on this one...

Default Is your scangauge registering activity on oX2?

When KrusTy's was bad all it would read was 44. No cycling up and down as you'd expect..

Default It should cycle up and down...>

from a low output (20ish) to a high output (80ish). If it's not doing anything it's probably bad.

Default Just drove the car and Ox2 ......

appears to be working. Started at 44 during warm-up, and after it warmed up it would cycle from the low 20's to the single digits.
I'll run it tomorrow for a longer time and see how it behaves.
Thank you Steve. I forgot I had that capability with the ScanGauge since I've never checked the Ox1 or Ox2 values since I didn't know what to look for.
So if the sensor is working what the heck is the CEL problem. Am I understanding this right then by thinking that single values of Ox2 seem to indicate very low values of O2 which would indicate that the cat plus elbow is working properly ?
