Default lease coming up soon.... opinions on the next project car???

well.. the time has finally come ... as much as I fell in love with the TT (not to mention as much money as i poured into it) my lease is coming up soon and under the current situations it doesnt make sense to buy out the car.

there arent really any new cars out there within a reasonable price range which appeal to me, and unless a more affordable stage 3 kit comes out that might influence my decision to return the car, i think what ive decided to do is go used and do what ive really always wanted to do anyway: put together a ridiculous project car.

like most of you, i would never really consider anything else besides a european car, which leaves me pretty much with BMW and Audi. so, (some of you may groan at this), but i am considering going down the maybe a little played out route of a project E36 M3 or B5 S4.

the goals would be to put down around 500 bhp (the great thing about living in miami is im walking distance from both Active Autowerkes and Champion Motorsport)and maybe do some widebody work.

im not trying to get into magazines or anything like that, so dont expect any kandy orange or flame paint schemes or anything like, just something tasteful and fast....very... very fast.

so what do u guys think? both have their advantages and disadvantages.. I love Audi and quattro.. but the B5 S4 is a little.. i dunno... old man-ish... but, on the other hand, I also cant think of a more played out project car than the E36 M3...
im really open to any other suggestions as well... TIA

oh.. and the picture was just to make u look...

S4 Avant. I'd love to have a 500 hp station wagon that kills.

supercharched A4 is not going to get you 500 ponies. I'd go with an M5
