Default LED turn signal wiring

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/60473/led_wiring.jpg"></center><p>As picture showed above.
black and red wire represents two wires that connect to turn signal in headlight housing.
I have tried to wire one 5watt and two 10 watt resistors(From radio shock call wirebound resistor) in "parallel" to create 25watt resistance. I wire them this way because I think this is safe to try it out. But they still blink rapidly.

I searched the on the forum, and some A4 owner had wire that 25watt resister "parallel" with leds instead of in "series". But I thoght this will short the circut and get the fuse blown.
Want to make sure this is correct boefore I done somthing stupid.

Default That's correct. It should be wired in Parallel (not series)

There is a kit from superbrightleds that creates a 'load' so that the relay doesn't 'see' the decrease in load from the LEDs. They use 50 watt resisters to do the job.

&lt;See Below&gt;

RL-650 Load Resistor kit
6 Ohm, 50 Watt load resistor kit
Solves most LED turn signal problems
Connect one across each LED turn signal bulb to simulate filament bulbs

Default Do not try this without using a DVOM, and a ammeter and some math...

You are trying to replace a 50 W load with a set of LEDS' that present a much smaller load to the flasher.
You *must* determine first what the draw and load of the LED array is, then calculate the difference based on the over all load of the glass bulbs.
You will need *larger* wattage resistors (power resistors)
like these.

The resistors you are using are too small, wattage wise.

Alrigh, I use total 60 LEDs.
And I wire them 4 in a series. so there well be 15 groups of them. Each of them draw around 1/4 watt, so if I put them in parallel will consume 3.75watt. So i am still missing 17.25watt.
Where can I get those resistor other than R-shak ?

Default You need to use *exact* readings, not "about". look here, do the math

Do a google search for 'power resistors'.
try also digikey.com<ul><li><a href="http://www.otherpower.com/otherpower_lighting_leds.html">Ohms Law and LED array's</a></li></ul>
