Left coasters looking for a track/driving event check out TracQuest, just did Road Atlanta with them
and it was very good. Good instructors, great format, loads of seat time.
Of course Road Atlanta is a great, if unforgiving, road course. I had a blast, and in case you did not know, the TT rules!

http://www.tracquest.com/default.asp</a

|
Where was the photo taken? It certainly ain't RA.

Atlanta motor speedway, last July. They have not finished the high bank at RA yet!

Here are some pics of the event

I destroyed my black front Audi Rings right at the beginning of the event. :(
It happened in lap 3 of the warm up laps. I was not going fast, trying to find the right line, and lifted off the throttle in turn 3 to turn 4. I learned, that it is possible to spin at low speeds and will never ever lift off the throttle in a turn again!
I had a blast though for the rest of the day. :) The damage was mainly cosmetic. :) As Jeff said, this Tracquest DE event was perfectly organized and we got lots of tracktime. This is a pic of the damage after I removed the headlight protective film and Invincashield. |
Jurgen....sorry to see that...
Glad the xenons survived though,
|
That is one way to increase air flow to the radiator!
Any estimate yet? I had a blast, Todd and TracQuest did a nice job with the event.

Re: That is one way to increase air flow to the radiator!
The insurance will have a look at the damage on wednesday. I will be going to the dealership tomorrow to get pricing on the damaged parts, just to make shure that the insurance agent estimates on realistic replacement costs for the damaged parts.

Re: Jurgen....sorry to see that...
Thanks for the condolences, Marcus.
I drove back to Rocket City last night and the Xenons were only slightly out of alignment. :) |
