License plate magnet trick... Is my license plate supposed to stick to the magnets?

not sure if im understanding you correctly but...
you will need to get the place bracket..the black thing, attach the magnets to the bracket..then screw the plate itself on as usual

Yeah, OK.
Some of my earlier plates will "stick" to the
magnets, but these don't. I don't have the
screws for the plate bracket, but they should
be easy to find. The holes are not tapped, so
I guess some self-tappers or sheet metal screws
maybe?
