A little color in a black and white world...

Nice work. I have a little trick I use for photos like that.
Being a designer/photog shots like that benefit from this treatment.
1. Copy the layer - Entire shot in this case.
2. Apply the threshold treatment to the copied layer.
3. Apply gaussian blur to the threshold layer and play with overlay/hard light/soft light to see what you like the best.
4 (optional) you can copy the blurred layer and invert it to bring out some more feel if necessary.
The end result is a shot the looks pretty much the same but has a little more dimension and feel. In this case the B&W part would look just a little more deserted and surreal and the color would just have a slight glow.
