Location set for first SoCal Audi TT Club Meeting!

The location has been decided for the inaugural SoCal Audi TT Club meeting. It will be held at the Karl Strauss Brewery Gardens in San Diego.
Karl Strauss makes an excellent beer which unlike most U.S. beer, meets the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 Rheinheitsgebot. Here's a description of the setting from their website (http://www.karlstruass.com) "Discover San Diego's hidden paradise! Located fifteen minutes north of downtown within the San Diego Tech Center in Sorrento Mesa, Karl Strauss Brewery Gardens is a microbrewery and 380-seat restaurant set admidst 5-1/2 acres of perfectly manicured Oriental Gardens which include a dramatic waterfall, babbling brook, Koi pond and quiet walking paths. The restaurant features tiered outdoor decks with magnificent views of the gardens, an indoor-outdoor bar, private conference rooms, an espresso bar and a take-out counter. The building's Oriental design parallels Munich's famous Chinesischer Turm Biergarten, or Chinese Pagoda Beer Garden, which is identified by its all Chinese pagoda. In that tradition, Karl Strauss Brewery Gardens offers a unique and picturesque setting for dining, weddings, banquets, special events and enjoying Master Brewer Karl Strauss' hand-crafted beers."
During October, they are featuring an Oktoberfest celebration featuring a German "Omm pa pa" band replete with lederhosen and such.
I'm shooting for a Sunday brunch on Haloween day, 10-31-99 at noon, but the date and time are still open for debate. To join the club, or view our more detailed discussion, click on the link below.
