Looking for TT wheels to put on 92 GTI.

My buddy has a 92 GTI and is looking for a set of 6 spoke Avus wheels to put on it. I was thinking that a set of FWD TT rims would bolt right up real nice. Do you think that would be OK?

Question #2; anybody selling a set?
