Jeff Bipes' write-up is very thorough, but you can suppliment it with this write-up...

This was one of my most frustrating mods to date, due to a misunderstanding in installation instructions. Don't reuse the right-most intake mounting bolt (the one that takes a 6mm Allen to remove). It will make you life much better... Trust me...

This is absolutely the deepest I have been in to my engine as well. I do have a feeling of accomplishment after getting this done.

Default I have never seen more wild >>

mood swings in all my life: We were not happy with life until we figured this out. It's a horrible feeling when you start your car and it's popping and sputtering and spewing black smoke. We were imagining 2 flat bed trucks pulling into the neighborhood to take the cars to the dealer. Ugg. Glad we solved that damn 6mm dilemma!

Default I think if someone put together another successful EH Group Buy I'd have to join in the fun

Would make the phenolic spacer a no brainer then. Would just hate to be without my car for that long as buying another manifold on top of things makes it a lot more difficult to absorb.

Default Not that bad, compared to other P & P options out there I think.

$485 retail for an intake when I did the GB, and we got about 33% off retail.

Default please clarify, been following the posts...

of the 10 bolts that hold the manifold on, do NOT put the bottom right one back in?
Or, as steve says, don't put a bracket on?

I'd think you'd want to use all 10 bolts to keep the mating surface as flush as possible and not have a potential leak on the right-most top and bottom bolts (runner 4, from left to right)

Is the bracket you were referring to the bracket that comes with the gasket kit and shown in the picture, or is it a bracket that is already on the car. Hard to tell from the pics.
Thx,
Fig
