Default Missing glove box latch

I have a 2001 Audi TT 1.8 Roadster. It has a missing glove box latch. I have looked high and low for one and just can not find one. I found the after market one for $225 on e bay, but can't afford it. Does anyone know of a source for a used one. I know the key won't fit, but thought I would just disassemble the tumbler and use it as a non locking. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Thank You

Default Do it Myself

Thanks for the response. Kind of what I was running into. However, I got to thinking....dangerous. Maybe I can do this myself. I have 1/8" thick aluminum flat stock. I can use the right trim as a template. I will cut out a rough copy in reverse of course and put it in vise and bend it to the correct curve and sand the heck out of it until it closely matches. I will attach a tab on the back side to fit into the open device that is still in the box. I have more time than money so may take a few hours, but I think I can make a pretty good non locking latch.
