mk1 tt haldex clutch removal challenge / stuck
Rear differential is locking/clicking on tight turns. (original issue: http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthre...s-haldex-issue)
I'm stuck in the process of removing / checking my haldex clutch
(mediocre reference diagram - http://www.awdwiki.com/images/haldex...tion-1_xxx.jpg)
I have gotten the driveshaft and dampener out of the way
I've removed the flange that attaches to the prop shaft flex disk / guibo. (part # 16 in this diagram)
I've removed the cargo pump (part #17 in the diagram)
I've removed the four #15 bolts holding the assembly together (part #41 in the diagram)
I can get the assembly to slide out a half an inch or so, and it will flex a little more, but something is holding/binding it up and I don't see it.
I see there's a wire coming from the differential to the top of the haldex I'll need to remove, but it's got slack.
I would appreciate a pointer to find replacement o-ring which I've broken. (part #28 on the diagram)
Already found the replacement bushing for the prop shaft which I munged getting out.
Thanks in advance!

At the other end of the prop shaft - I recently had to take out the bevel drive to fix the turbo bracket, so maybe someone will appreciate this as well: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...al-replacement

Thank you for the thought.
There's no allen head here like there is in the bevel drive.
Unfortunately I haven't found the haldex disassembly in the bentley manual.
I've found fluid changing in the maintenance section (3-61), and pieces related to it in the Rear suspension (42-6)
If someone can offer a chapter or page number, that would be helpful, but it seems like rear-final drive disassembly is out of the scope of the bentley manual.
I feel like the links I have should be sufficient, but the solution still eludes me. I don't want to lower the whole rear subframe to address this.
