Default Modshack Quick-release Commuter Cupholder concept...>>

John (NasTTcar) has been planting ideas in my head for a "Real" cup-holder (after dumpung a cup on his carpet!). He has hundreds of these aluminum tubes with have proven worthless for ****'s...so: Perfect for Commuting, easily adapted to the interior, Quick release for weekend drives... ANyway, here's an idea:

Conveniently adjustable:

Relatively unobtrusive mount when removed (5 seconds):

Of course, the tubes would be lathe turned, closed cell foam interior, possible bottom install.

Anyway, any point in pursuing this any further? Opinions and $$ worth to you?

Thanks,

Steve

Default great idea! how about that cell phone holder Steve?

I'm just sick and tired of having to search of it under my seat. But those other cell phone holder w/sticky pads will simply ruin the look of the interior. (Yeah, I'm picky about stuff like that)

Are you going to machine the tubes nicely like the ****? Interesting to see what the final product will look like.

Default You could...>

Just substitute a phone cradle for the Mug holder. The RAM mount system is very versatile. Yep, they'd be turned.
