more alignment issues....
I decided to take it elsewhere. I went to an alignment specialty shop after they assured me
that specs for the TT were in their computer. They adjusted what was adjustable for $50.
It turns out, according to them, that the front camber front and rear and the front caster
(I did get a free lecture about what these terms mean, but don't ask me to explain it)
are NOT ADJUSTABLE. They are made that way by Audi. BMW also makes cars in which
"normal features" are simply not adjustable.
This means, in effect, that a certain amount of tire wear is "built in" to the TT and can't be adjusted out. Maybe you'd want it that way anyhoo for performance reasons. It also makes
we wonder what the dealer actually does that warrants charging $198.00 !
Does this ring true to anyone?
