more strut removal questions -- what socket to use >>

no autoparts stores in my area carried a deep socket 21mm with grooves for grabbing it with a wrench.
can someone give me an idea of what i need and where to get it to make this....

i have the following:
- 1/4" ratchet
- 6" ext.
- 1.4" 11mm socket
i need:
- 21mm deep socket with grooves for attaching a crows foot (so i can properly torque)

go to a parts store like AutoZone/Discount Auto and look for an O2 sensor socket
that should fit fine..if not, buy a 21mm and grind the sides flat so that the crow's foot will fit.

I used a cheap 21mm socket from Auto Zone
and just locked vise grips around it. It held fine for me to turn it with the vise grips. I think the grips held better because they were locked around the engraved writing on the outside of the socket. If it's smooth, it may not hold very well.

I have this gizmo in the picture back from the very early days - changing strut bushings and bearings was the first thing i did. It is metalnerd part MN2122 socket; I also had a shop to weld a 1/2 drive socket to the handle so that a torque wrech can be used. It worked perfecty. I since got a Hazet suspension set T10001 so I no longer need this.
