Default More on Wax Recommendations

Since my 225 Roadster is on order, I experimented on my new Audi A-6 Avant with Meguiar`s Gold Class Wax without the clear coat prep. Hans on an earlier post found some clouding with #26 Meguiars and suggested One Grand Blitz Wax. The Meguiars Gold Class put an unbelievable `buttery` finish on the A-6. I called Meguairs and asked them if that was the `best wax` then make and said `yes`. I am somewhat concerned in that all their waxes contain polymers and silicone products. By the way the wax went on easily with no clouding and little white dust to remove. Has anyone used One Grand Blitz over the Meguiar`s Gold Class Wax? I would like to stick with the Meguiar`s as it put the best deep shine on the melange A-6 1999 wagon.

Default Zymol, merguires 26 vs. gold...

The Gold stuff is far less carnuba and far more silicone than the 26 liquid, let alone the paste; sure is easy to apply and shiny. But boy does it attract dust! I use it on my rims because it is so greasy the brake dust comes off readily.

The Blitz product line is supposed to be better. My preference is the "real" zymol. It is a little harder to apply, but NO silicones.
