moving away from A4, need advice on TT coupe...
 

I'm quickly approaching 60k in my 2002 A4, and this vehicle is costing me much more since it's been out of warranty than its worth. The A4 was a bit of a dog from day 1, and I'm now looking to trade in the A4 and grab a new or slightly used TT coupe before the new models spring out (2006 still? I have the fear, havent seen a spy shot i liked yet).

A couple of questions: are the coupes moving much off dealer lots? I figured winter right before a new model launch would be a good time to jump in, any thoughts on the best way to game around now?

I just got back from driving the 240 hp Quattro Sport in the UK, love the interior, power band is 'ok' (is it just weight reduction and tweaked ECU?), is it possible to get any of the fun bits from that on US models (go fast parts, seats, body cladding)?

Similarly, I saw nothing on the audiUSA website, but are there any s-line or similar to ALMs packages currently out there for addition in the US?

Last- any chance we'll see the 3.2 with a 6 speed before the new models come out in the near future?

There isn't a cost-effective way to get the Sport bits. No manual for the 3.2.

Its really pointless to get anything from the quattro sport version itself.
 

You can take any 225hp TT and modify it beyond quattro sport's abilities and you can do it on a budget too. The only real good thing about quattro sport is its lack of rear seat, but many here have done a rear seat delete on the regular TT. I've had A4 and I have a TT now. I'm very happy with it. Happy enough to consider another TT in a year or two.

TT is 100% out of production, so no chance at all that
 

any other iterations of this body style will be made. It absolutely blows that AOA chose to import the 3.2 with only DSG, as the car was available in Europe with a good old-fashioned clutch.

In the used markets, clean low-mileage un-molested cars are scarce as hen's teeth and command good money, while beat-up high mileage cars are a dime-a-dozen.

Best buy, IMO is a recent low-mileage car which is Audi certified. That way you get more warranty than when the car was brand new.
