My AOA experience for extended warrantee issues...longish
I wrote a letter to client services at AOA in regards to my never-ending repair list to my 2000TTC. I asked for an extension of one year on my 3 year warrantee. It seems that I have been in the shop and have had more loaners in the last 1.3 years than I have actually driven the TT. I am worried that the fourth year of my lease would be wrought with repairs.
I received a response from AOA yesterday stating they would not give me an extended warrantee. At least I tried. Let's see what 2002 brings. Here is the letter... (By the way, Now I am told my seat warmers both are not working by the dealer and that it would be a large fix job.) ------- I currently hold a four-year lease on a 2000 Audi TT Quattro Coupe with _______ here in Calgary, Canada. I began leasing in the summer of 2000. I recently became apprised to the fact that Audi is now offering a four-year warrantee to 2002 leasees of this same model. Over this past year I have had very extensive repairs (over $7000.00 worth) to my car including: · Replacement of liftgate · Replacement of instrument cluster (electrical and gauge failure) · Windshield reservoir replacement · Overhead console replacement · Front seat level replacement and repair for squeaks · Air conditioning replacement DV Valve New repairs to be done next service: · Replacement of seat warmer buttons (do not push in after released) · Window seal wind noise and leak on passenger side Signal lights not flickering on the outside of car I feel that I should be entitled to take advantage of your four-year warrantee you currently offer for your 2002 models. I am thinking that without this coverage for the last year, I may be left with no other option but to return the car after year 3 and reconsider my options (including whether or not to lease again with Audi). I have leased for the last 7 years various makes and models, and have yet to find a new car with such repair issues. Understandably, I am quite concerned with this situation in which I find myself. I am hoping that Audi will understand my situation, and agree to my request. Thank you for your kind attention to this issue. Dr. Jonathan Ross |
