My car seems to not have the same amount of power....
When I first got the car in 1999 (obviously 180HP) it seemed to have enough pep (for me at least). But the last year and a half or so, it feels sluggish and not as quick (acceleration is not as good). Could it be that the car is just getting old or am I just used to it now?
What should I look at to see what might be causing the car to not have as much power? I know it is just a 180, but I can remember when it felt it had more power than it does now. Car has about 45K miles.
If it was the turbo, the loss of power would be much more significant, right?
TIA

Your MAF is a bit sluggish...After 5+ years and that number of miles, I'd replace it just as a matter of course. It measures air and determines fueling requirements and when they get tired they do exactly what you're experiencing... Refurbs are $60-$80 so it's not a big deal...
