Default My first mod and gotta question.....

I just ordered a Milltek cat-back exhaust for my stock 225...but I have hot heard this set-up on a TT...for those who know, is it louder than stock? Does it sound "different" and will I notice any power gains before chipping?

Default the Milltek is a nice setup. Resonated is same or quieter than stock, non-res is slightly louder.

I drove in a non-res roadster at TT-E a while back, and thought it sounded about perfect. I have the APR exhaust, which is a bit louder. What I noticed with it (was chipped already) was that it smoothed out the power curve a bit, no huge gains, but a nice difference that I thought I could feel. FWIW, I would choose the non-res version if I went with Milltek.

Default I have a resonated milltek.

It's maybe ever so slightly louder than stock... just a very tiny bit... which is nice because it doesn't drone or become tiresome. It does have a throatier growl to it though, which I like. It's been a long time since mine was installed but I'm pretty sure you'll notice a difference in power!

A tip... once you decide you like it and are going to keep it and have the adjustments on the tips right, have a shop tack weld the slip joints!

Default I have a NON-resonated Milltek...soundwise, it's the safe tasteful choice if >>>

you're not out to really change the sound dramatically. Most of us like the little bit of extra growl, w/o sounding obnoxious.
