My Passport 8500 flipped out yesterday! It just cycles between city, highway, auto, etc and just
beeps. A couple days prior, I noticed the display said "Self Cal" and made an odd high pitched tone.It would not clear until I shut it off and turned it back on.
I removed the cover yesterday and saw the problem. The "cycle" button's little blue micro switch is stuck down.
It's a VERY small switch. Can this be fixed or is it a goner?
Doesn anyone recall what the warranty period is on these.. I forget... TIA

Do call their customer service, I had an early passport and lost the security key deally and
they sent me a whole new unit! (I just had to mail the other one back w/the recipt and stuff) They seem to have pretty good customer service.

1 year wty, mine recalibrated the other day -- took a couple of minutes
then returned to normal --
They may cover you anyway -- my cord went out after 14 months and they gave me another one for free
