My trunk lid no longer opens with the remote. The button inside the car opens it. Any thoughts?

happend to me last year. easy fix. for some reason >>>
the key and control module get out of sync.
To reset:
Press either the lock or unlock button ONCE.
Within 30 seconds, insert the key into the door and either lock or unlock the car.
BAM! remote is programmed.
