My TTicket from July 31st...

Happy belated birthday to me - the morning after my b-day. I came to a complete stop on a downhill road, looked both ways, then turned left. Apparently, I completely missed the motorcycle cop to my right. He gave me a ticket for "Failure to yield" at a stop sign. I'm guessing that he was lost in the windshield pillar. Oh well.

I got one similar to that once...
I was pulled over at 2:30am in the Market in Charleston with a car full of people. I had come to a stop at an intersection, waited while two pedestrians crossed in front of my vehicle, and then made a left turn. I was pulled over within seconds and ticketed for failure to stop at a stopsign. WTF? Not only was I ticketed, but I was also pulled from my car, given a breathalizer, and a field sobriety test, both of which I passed. Needless to say I appeared in court on the specified date. After telling my story to the judge, he promptly threw out the ticket. Sometimes crap like that just happens.

It's called "fishing" and is a pure revenue generator. That's not to say ALL of the time, but some
times it does happen. Sucks to be the one to get nailed with it too, but fighting it is the best way to go when it smells fishy.
