mystery wire
So I was looking around my engine compartment yesterday when I noticed this loose wire. It comes from under the vacuum resivor and is located between the resivor, the n-75, and the DV. I can’t figure out what it’s from or where it’s supposed to go. It looks like the only place it could go to based off its length is a wire harness nearby that has a connection that goes to the n-75. Anyone have any ideas on what this is and where it should go?https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...81c6616e3.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...45842b020.jpeg |

There is a little square resistor that goes under a bolt to ground it in that area. I believe it is there to reduce radio interference. Easy to overlook in a spark plug service. I left mine dangling behind the head once for 20000 miles. Didn’t notice any symptoms or changes when I reconnected it. It could easily get broken off its wire and leav just a blank wire. I believe that is what you have pictured. I would just tape it off. |
