Default Need help Identifying/replacing engine component.

This is not a picture from under MY hood, but the part i need to identify is the same, What is the black (rounded) resiviour-looking part that is in the bottom left corner of the image. from the point of view in the picture its directly under the coolant res, and just to the left of the lowest thick blue hose connected to the down-pipe. I broke the male nozel off this thing when i was unplugging it durring an alternator replacement. None of the junkyards around me have similar yeared audi-VW's to try to find a replacement. I suppose i need to buy this new, but I don't know what to search for to find it! Please Help!

I actually meant the thing just below that, I found out through calling an audi dealership that it is a Vacuum tank. Pretty cheap. should be a breeze to fix.

Thanks!
