Default Ahhh that's what I thought I wanted to do as well, but ...

just silde the wire under it into the crack. Near 0 work. This worked very well for me.

Default Crack your windshield, and while it is getting replaced, string the wire around to the mirror

Joking of course, but the glass repair shop did a great job re-installing my V1 when they put in the new windshield. ;-)

Default Sigh...

Remove your center dome light assembly, tap into the hot wire that feeds the light ( the one that goes DEAD after about 40 minutes if left on).

The brown wire is ground, you need that too.

Use the V1 connector box that accepts the male telphone plug, and the FUSED power wire as well.

Wrap everything in foam insulation tape, so it won't rattle, tuck it in the area behind the dome light.

Run the flat phone wire between the headliner and the roof and out next to the mirror bracket. Go to Radio Shack and get a crimping tool to put a new male phone plug on that wire ( the original is about 6 feet ). Make sure that you observe the fact the plugs are not on that wire the same way, IE put the existing ones side by side and note the colors of the insulation, your new end MUST be wired like what you take off.

Voila! You're done ........ easy simple effective and fast, plus that hot wire power goes off after about 40 minutes so you can't 'let it on' by mistake.
