Default need some advice on spacers

i am running 19X8.5 tires all the way around. i also have the car lowered with h&rs. should i play it safe and get 5mm front 15mm back? i was liking the 25mm's but not sure about fitment issues. what do you all think?? thanks in advance.

Default Depends on the offset of your wheels. Lots of stuff in the archives about this, Schwing is the...

guru. How wide are your tires? FWIW I have the same springs/shocks as you, 235x40x18 Kumho 712 rubber on 18 x 8" wheels with 15mm F and 25mm R spacers. No rubbing issues, but I'm beginning to see wear on the inside of the rear treads after 9000 miles.

Default sorry, wheels are 19X8.5....

tires are 235X35X19. i did a search and couldnt find any conclusive evidence as to what is too wide given my specs. why would the inside of your tires be wearing unevenly? you think you might have alignment issues?? just curious as to why spacers would cause this. thanks again

Default Uneven tire wear is caused by increased negative camber resulting from....

lowering & widening. I haven't compensated for this as others have done, either with K-Mac bushings or Forge adjustable control arms (tending towards the latter, can't justify the cost right now).

The offset of your wheels is the most important parameter in determining whether you should install spacers. Tire Rack has some good info on this, see link....

wheel offset primer

Default So yes, I prefer 10/15mm for that setup. See picture.

I have the 15/25mm H&R hubcentric setup with my 8x19's 35mm offset . I am going to move the 15mm to the rear and buy a 10mm set. So yes, I prefer 10/15mm for that setup. See picture with the 15/25mm. I have yet to make this change.

Default did you have any rubbing at all with the 25's??

i was contemplating maybe going with 10's in the front, 20's in the rear. how do you think that would be given what you already know? great looking car, by the way

Yes, so I am taking it easy...until I make the change...the rubbing has only been very slight (not sheetmetal contact) and it's at the rear plastic liner of the rear wheel well. For 8.5"s with 35 offset i'd go with 10/15.
