Default Need tire help

Took out the TT tonight for a nice trip to dinner. I usually drive the 4x4 during the winter months. Well I paid for it. Driving about 35 MPH and hit a pothole. Both right hand tires blew out . Do you think it was the tires or the rims? Fortunatly I was virtually in front of my house so I limped back home and its too dark to check out the car. This really S*&cks!!

Unfortunately if you blew both tires on a pothole, you probably bent the wheel rims also.

Rats. Damn pot holes can do serious damage. Would be interesting to see pressure on right tires.

Default must have been some pothole. i remember popping a golfball on my GTi VR6 in NYC...

on a small pothole going 40mph. it was loud, almost like i hit something huge. turns out, i developed a golfball on the side of my tire. haven't done it with the TT yet...but have hit some minor potholes that didn't sound all that great.

and to top it off, its right around the corner from your house...you better patch it up before you pop the other two tires!

Default It's the rims. THe exact thing happened to a friend of mine when we both had A4's. He

called me to borrow my spare. He had both rims repaired by the Wheel Collision Center for $50 each plus shipping. Beat the OEM wheel replacement cost by a mile, and they came out great. He never had any problems since then.
