Default New audi/TT Gizmos on the horizon?

Someone told me today that a BMW, either new or planned, is going to do away with ignition keys and have biometrics (hand/fingerprint recognition) for ignition, audio, internal controls, etc.

Anyone hear about this or know if Audi is planning on using any technology like this in the near future?

Default Again-don't know, but I think security was the reason for the

development. Maybe dealers are given overrides of some sort.

Default being a geek i just think that finger print recognition

is to easy to beat.. and not worth the extra money they're going to charge us.. if someone wants to steal your car. they're going to find a way..
