Default new clutch. new flywheel. new tires. new brakes. new err..something else..FOTOS!

well, it's been a bizarre 7 days for the TT. my 50,000 mile warranty runs out in about 1000 miles, so i've been trying to take care of as much stuff i can before it goes.

got new brakes last week. (under warranty)

50,000 mile service done.

blew a tire last week, ended up replacing all 4 tires. I used to have Continentals, but now i have Toyo Proxes...the new tires are great. very grippy.

got a new clutch and flywheel put in after the car STOPPED SHIFTING while i was in Detroit! drove to the dealership stuck in 2nd gear.... FIXED UNDER WARRANTY! the car feels *amazing* now....honestly, you guys won't believe how different the car feels with a brand new clutch after driving it the past few months with a worn out one. new flywheel too...i believe they also replaced a CV Joint (????)..the paperwork is on its way in the mail. 0 out of pocket expense though...quite pleased.

anyway, got the car back today. it feels SUPERB. Everything feels tight and taut. The way it should be. EXCEPT, if i take a really really really sharp right turn (almost a 150 degree turn), then i hear this slightly metallic sound (the sound of some sort of metal rubbing on something)...i'll get it checked out sometime this week.

some pictures of the past 7 days:

Default The Toyo Proxes?

"They are a specific summer/race tire and are NOT intended for winter useage. The snow traction is downright awful and you should have a set of winter tires if you have snowfall where you drive."

Glad you are up and running though. I remember when I got a brand new clutch at 42K miles and WOW what a difference. It was like a new car.

Are these the ones you got?

Default Glad to see that your dealer delivers great service...

Instead of worrying about the corporate bean counters.
A good place to buy that Maserati some day soon!
