Default New guy questions

Hello to all I just purchased a project 2001 tt 225....non runner been sitting in a guys garage for 5 years due to family issues.....very well maintained with tons of paperwork collected. 161k miles and in wonderful shape. I have search the website today as I am trying to get it started, I have no fuel getting to the fuel rail. Fuel still smells fresh as he did add stabil while sitting. Did pull a p1517 code and it had a blown fuel pump fuse. Replaced fuse and checked voltage to the ecu and confirmed I’m getting 12v. Now I do get power to the fuel pump while the car is turning over, but no fuel to the fuel rail. Any ideas before i pull the fuel pump? Thanks in advance.

You need fuel, spark and compression for an engine to run. Need to verify all three. For example, If the timing belt snapped, you won't have compression.

yep...great compression...getting good spark....now the Fp is working I’m thinking the fuel (5 years old) is just junk!
